SpendIntel AI is owned and operated by Major Retail LLC, a Florida limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information SpendIntel AI collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and (optionally) your name, used to create and secure your account.
• Financial data you provide — transactions you import via CSV, and, if you choose to connect a bank, transaction and account data retrieved through our data provider, Plaid.
• Derived data — subscriptions and recurring charges we detect from your transactions, and related analysis.
• Usage and diagnostic data — basic technical information needed to operate and secure the service.

We do not sell your personal or financial information.

How bank connections work

If you connect a bank, we use Plaid for read-only access. We never see or store your bank login credentials. Access tokens issued by Plaid are encrypted at rest and used only to retrieve your transactions when you sync.

How we use your information

• To detect subscriptions and recurring charges and present them to you.
• To provide explainable, AI-assisted insights about your recurring spending.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.

Third-party services

• Plaid — bank connectivity (read-only transactions/accounts).
• Supabase — authentication and encrypted database hosting.
• Anthropic (Claude) — generates the narrative portion of AI insights. Figures are computed by us; the model does not receive your bank credentials.

Data security

Your data is isolated per account using row-level security. Bank access tokens are encrypted at rest, and access to your data requires your authenticated session.

Your choices and rights

• Disconnect a bank at any time in Settings, which removes the connection and deletes the stored access token.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Children

SpendIntel AI is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
